Or was Marcion to add the scribes in the episode?

In Marcion the function of the scribes is clear: they, by definition, know the scriptures and have realized the antithesis between what the scriptures say (to marry and to give birth in this world) and the new Gospel preached by the marcionite Jesus. It seems that in Marcion the scriptures appear only to point out the surprising distance between them and Jesus.

In Mark the scriptures are allied with Jesus against the sadducees, since Jesus quotes them. Therefore no need of scribes who agree with Jesus. A mention of scribes in Mark would put a doubt about the quote of scriptures by Jesus.

Are the same scriptures the fourth enemy of Jesus, after the scribes, the pharisees and the sadducees ?Giuseppe Ferrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00587305319405093702noreply@blogger.com
